Olivia Klawonn – Operations Manager
Olivia is the co-host and engineer at WRHU on the Screening Room as well as an engineer for Eileen Cronin’s “Long Ireland” show on Saturday afternoons (and is also a diehard equestranaut*). She is a major in Film Studies and Production at Hofstra University and is also attempting to squeeze in a minor in Fine Arts: Photography (which means you should check out her instagram @oklawonn!). Liv’s favorite movie is Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind though Perks of Being a Wallflower and How to Steal a Million come in close behind. She hopes to become a screenwriter and possible director after her undergrad education and loves to co-host the screening room with the rest of the on-air cast!

Raj Chidambaram – Executive Producer
Raj fell in love with film and television in his freshman year of high school. He specifically loves editing, visual effects, and producing. In his senior year, he produced the school’s annual film festival which was, at that time, the most profitable in it’s 17 year history. Raj has been to Sundance, Cannes, walked a few red carpets, and has met celebrities like Anna Kendrick, Steven Spielberg, Keira Knightly, and Benedict Cumberbatch. His favorite film is the Imitation Game and his dream is to be the head of a production studio.
William Tarashuk – Website Manager
William Tarashuk is the website manager and designer. He also works in the news department, bringing all of the latest news and opinions to The Screening Room. He loves comedies and dramas but will watch any movie, good or bad. William also writes movie reviews when he can. Along with The Screening Room, William engineers the Polka & Oberek show and is a member of the WRHU sports department.
Connor Gushue – Corporate Communications
Travis Martin – New Director
Travis Martin is a film major with a drama minor at Hofstra University. He originates from Bethesda, Maryland. Travis is learning how to be an actor, writer, director, and editor for films. His favorite films include The Godfather, The Dark Knight and Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi. Travis is also the author of Lion’s Heaven, a fictional book he wrote for his high school senior thesis, self-published on Amazon and Kindle. He is hoping to release sequels to it.
Sam Bussell – News Writer
Sam has been in love with film for as long as he can remember. He has been a Cinematographer, Editor and Director for student films. He is a sophomore at Hofstra University and is pursuing a BS in Video/TV and Film. He is a huge film buff and an extreme fan of the Oscar season and loves to give his thoughts on recently released films and movie news. His favorite films include Saving Private Ryan, Argo, The Godfather, Good Will Hunting, Captain America: The Winter Solider as well as the Harry Potter franchise.
Haley Moffatt is a sophomore from Albany, NY. She is currently studying public relations at Hofstra. She has interests in traveling, snowboarding, playing soccer, and her Golden Retriever, Mia. Her favorite movies are The Devil Wears Prada and Bridesmaids. One day she hopes to be a successful public relations practitioner for a top firm.
Joy Jones is majoring in journalism at Hofstra University. Joy appreciates the film medium and is most fond of classic films and dramedies. She is also an active participant with Newsline and Hofstra’s Morning Wake-Up Call. Joy is honored to share her passion for the film industry with The Screening Room through news writing and public relations.

Kristen Krupski – Distribution Coordinator
Kristen is a sophomore from West Islip, NY and is a Video/TV & Business major. She slowly found her way into the world of entertainment through her love of Disney and the process of television and film. She is interested the marketing aspect of television and one of her lifetime goals is to work/be on Saturday Night Live!
Kimberly Donahue – Assistant Distribution Coordinator
Kimberly Donahue hails from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and is a journalism major and political science minor. Her love of film really hit her when a television fell on her at the tender age of three while she was watching Mary Poppins. She’s a lover of movie musicals, black comedies, dramas, and has a soft spot for “bad” movies. Her ultimate goal is to become the first female host of The Tonight Show. You can also spot her on Newsline and Hofstra’s Morning Wake-Up Call.
Chris Dane – Assistant Promotions Coordinator
Chris Dane is the promotions coordinator and is responsible for helping spread the word about The Screening Room. He’s just as odd and quirky as Ben Wyatt and loves almost all of Robin Williams’ films. When he’s not working on The Screening Room, he’s a writer, anchor, and engineer for Newsline and a host on Hofstra’s Morning Wake-Up Call. Chris is majoring in Radio Studies and Productions with a double minor in Journalism and History at Hofstra University.
Marc Yanniello – Assistant Promotions Coordinator
Kaeli Van Cott – Creative Director
Kaeli is from Staten Island, New York. She is a Journalism major and double minor in Spanish and Radio, Television and Film. Kaeli is a news writer and member of the creative team here at the Screening Room. She can be seen tweeting and blogging in the corner about film news at any given time. Although she keeps up with all film news, documentaries and anything of Quentin Tarantino’s are her favorite. Jason Abdow — Screenwriter/News Publisher & Writer
Jason Abdow is from Rehoboth, Massachusetts and is currently a Video/Television and Film major. He is involved with both the News and Creative departments at the Screening Room. He has been a film fan for as long as he can remember and hopes to be able to break into the industry in some way after college. When he is not at Hofstra, Jason is likely listening to his record player or brushing up on his skills as a black belt.
Brittany McGowan – Screenwriter/Producer
Brittany is a freshman Video/Television and Film major and Journalism minor from Cold Spring Harbor, New York, right here on the Island. She is also the Alternative Nation Producer and a Traffic and Weather reporter for Newsline, both here at WRHU. Brittany has been working with film since she was 13 and her love for it has only grown over the years. She dreams of (and plans on) becoming a Director. Outside of classes, she is a classically trained musician, notorious doodler, and space enthusiast.
Jazmine Gonzalez is a proud Latina from the Bronx. She is a radio productions and studies major at Hofstra and hopes to live her dream of doing color commentating for an MLB team one day. In her spare time, she is a dedicated lacross player for Hofstra’s club team. When she isn’t playing lacrosse, she is listening to Bruno Mars, Selena or Disney classics.
Frances Shirley is from Bowie, Maryland. She is the Co-Captain of the Strictly Steppin’ dance team at Hofstra University. She is majoring in TV and Film Production. Frances has always wanted to be a part of the film industry in some way, even when she was little. Movies allow her to live in another world and experience something outside of herself. She loves all aspects of making film. If she could become a director, producer, screenplay writer, editor or anything in the film industry as a career, then that would be a dream come true.
Edward Delaney – Assistant of Production
Edward Delaney was born in Long Island and grew out of Ithaca, NY. Since he was young he has been into watching and discussing movies and television, so the Screening Room would be a perfect fit for him. On his free time Edward enjoys playing guitar, playing chess, and cooking. He currently studies television production at Hofstra and wants to write and produce his own series one day.
Linda Abukhalaf is in love with working in the entertainment industry and enjoys all the life experiences and opportunities it gives her. She’s worked in film and television for two years in high school, producing and directing live broadcasts, television shows, short films, etc. She is now continuing her work majoring in video/television and film at Hofstra University. She loves movies and thinks it’s the best escape from reality. She plans on becoming a major motion picture director and producer!
