Moviegoers get ready because another female action star is coming to theaters near you! A big-screen adaptation of Naja, the acclaimed French graphic novel, is in the works. Thunder Road Pictures, Entertainment 360, and Nickel City Productions have partnered to produce the film that Telepool will executive produce. J.P. Davis is writing  the script that Cedric Nicolas-Troyan will direct.

“Naja,” written by Jean-David Morvan and illustrated by Bengal, follows a beautiful assassin, who is unable to feel pain in anyway. Things take a turn when she has a contract put on her, and finds herself targeted by assorted hitmen and killers. The novel has been compared to recent action films like John Wick” and “Lucy, along with the French thriller Le Femme Nikita.

“Naja” was published in France by Dargaud, whose other graphic novel, Valerian, is currently being adapted for the big-screen by Luc Besson. Currently, “Naja” has no release date.
