Our friends over at Twentieth Century Fox released a trailer for the Tim Burton-directed “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, based on the novel by the same name.

This trailer immediately catches the eye when a girl fills the room with a seemingly endless air supply, before she reveals that air is her “peculiarity.” The trailer then get thrown into the wild world that these peculiar children live in. This world includes an adorable little girl with a monster mouth on the back of her head, an invisible boy playing soccer, and some sort of mime twins. The film seems to be absolutely rich with interesting subjects.

The plot follows Jake, who discovers a mystery that takes him to different times and realities, and ultimately to Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. In learning about the abilities of these children, he himself discovers his peculiarity, and must use it to fight the dangers that threaten the children.

Tim Burton will direct a script penned by Jane Goldman, and the film will star Eva Green, Asa Butterfield, Ella Purnell, Chris O’Dowd, Allison Janney, Terence Stamp, Kim Dickens, Rupert Everett, Judi Dench and Samuel L. Jackson.“Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children” is set to be released on September 30.
