James Cameron‘s first sequel to the highest grossing film of all time officially has no release date set. “Avatar 2″ was originally supposed to be released at the end of this year but the film was then pushed to December 2017. Now studios have crossed out that date and have given no indication as to when it might arrive in theaters.
James Cameron had been planning for 3 more “Avatar” films to come for some time. He even said that they would be released one after the other. However now that release timetable doesn’t seem very likely.
Some believe that the delay is happening because of the placing of the upcoming “Star Wars” films one of which is being released this year (“Star Wars: Rogue One”) and another one next year (“Star Wars Episode VIII”). Some believe the film maybe released in the summer of 2018. For now it is all speculation.
