A remake of the 1995 classic film “Jumanji” is set to be released this Christmas.

Jake Kasdan (“Bad Teacher”) will be directing the feature, who’s script was written by Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner.

The remake will follow the same storyline as the original movie in which a magical board game causes jungle plants and various wild creatures to invade the real world.

Matt Tolmach and Bill Teitler are producing while Ted Field and Mike Weber are set to serve as the executive producers.

Announcements regarding the cast have yet to be announced.
