It has been announced Beyoncé is officially set to star in a remake of “A Star is Born,” which will be Beyonce’s first live-action film role since 2009’s “Obsessed.”

Bradley Cooper will be making his directorial debut, as it has been confirmed that he will be directing the remake of the original 1937 film.

Cooper is currently searching for producers, and is wishing the idea od starring in the film as well.

While this film brings about big news for Cooper and Beyoncé, “A Star is Born” has already been remade twice, in 1954 and 1976. The timeless story focuses on a young woman who arrives in Hollywood with dreams of being a star, and achieves them with the help of an alcoholic whose glory days are well behind him.

While the rest of the cast has yet to be announced, it has been announced that the film is expected to begin production between December 2016 and January 2017.
