Matt Reeves is currently working on another “Planet of the Apes” but after he is done, he already has his next project ready to go.
According to Variety, Reeves is going to produce the political thriller, “Spring Offensive.” Fox acquired the rights to the film and with the success of the Apes movies, Reeves was one of their first choices.
The plot details have not been released yet but it’s being described as a “smart, female-driven political thriller.” Empire Online speculates that it could be about the Arab Spring protests between 2010 and 2012, due to the title.
Reeves signed a three-year first-look deal at Fox back in 2014 after “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes” grossed $710 million worldwide. His has also directed “Let Me In” and “Cloverfield,” and currently is busy directing “War of the Planet of the Apes” set to hit theaters on 2017.
