When Marvel releases a trailer I’s usually a big deal but when the “Captain America: Civil War” trailer came out, it broke records.
According to The Hollywood Reporter the trailer hit 61 million views in the first 24 hours after its release, breaking the record for all other Marvel trailers. The previous record was held by “The Avengers: Age of Ultron” with 34 million.
While impressive, it is still nowhere near the magnitude of the “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” trailer which holds the all-time record at 112 million views.
Variety reports that the trailer teased the friction between Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr) and Captain America (Chris Evans). The footage also gave audiences a look at Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman), Hawkeye ( Jeremy Renner), and War Machine (Don Cheadle).
The film should be action packed and is one of Marvel’s most anticipated films ever with a release date of May 6, 2016.
