Ryan Gosling may very be launching his career into a whole other world- literally.


It has been reported that the “Drive” star is in talks with Universal Studios to play the American space hero Neil Armstrong in the upcoming Biopic film “First Man.”


This film is being adapted from James Hansen’s book “First Man: The Life of Neil Armstrong,” which details Armstrong’s life and his journey to becoming the first man to step foot on the moon.


In addition to fielding Gosling, Universal has already found their Director in Damien Chazelle. Chazelle is known for his directorial credit on “Whiplash,” and is also currently working with Ryan Gosling on the musical “La La Land.”


It has also been announced that “Spotlight” screenwriter Josh Singer is penning the script for the film, however no other details regarding the movie’s cast or crew have been confirmed yet.


A release date has not been announced.
