Oscar winner Matthew McConaughy is currently being eyed for role in a new adaptation of a Stephen King novel. Recently he was looked at to play a villain role in King’s The Stand. Now director-producer duo Ron Howard and Brian Grazer, want McConaughey for their Stephen King adapatation of The Dark Tower.
The role he is wanted for is that of the character Roland Deschain, also known as the legendary “Gunslinger.” The second role is “Man In Black,” which, for those who are familiar with King’s book, is recognize as one of many disguises of Randall Flagg who is also the antagonist in The Stand.
As of now not much else has been revealed in regards to information on the plot, castings and so forth. However fans can expect to see The Dark Tower adaptation in theaters January 13, 2017.
