Twentieth Century Fox is getting ready to develop a 6th “Die Hard” film. They are right in negotiations to bring back director Len Wiseman to not only direct but produce the sixth installment in the 27-year-old franchise.

Lorenzo di Bonaventura will also produce. Bruce Willis is expected to come back for this sequel which will be known as Die Hard: Year One. This story would focus on the the younger days of John McClane character back in 1979. The plan is for Willis to appear in the narrative as the present-day version of McClane. The actor has yet to sign a deal

Wiseman directed the fourth installment of the franchise in 2007 with Live Free or Die Hard, which grossed a successful $383 million worldwide.

This upcoming sequel has no official release date as of yet.
