Over the summer this year, Marvel Studio’s blockbuster Ant Man proved to be huge success. Well now Marvel Studios has announced an upcoming sequel titled Ant Man and the Wasp which is scheduled to be released on July 6, 2018.

The title of the film suggests that since Paul Rudd’s character serves as Michael Douglas’s successor to be Ant Man, Evangeline Lilly’s character Hope Van Dyne will play the Wasp following in her mother’s footsteps.

Marvel Studios is capitalizing more and more on their superhero franchises and have announced a Black Panther film which is set to be released February 16, 2018 and Captain Marvel, the studio’s first solo female film has been delayed from from Nov. 2, 2018 to March 8, 2019.

Marvel Studios has also planted three flags in 2020 for unannounced films on May 1, July 10, and Nov. 6 of that year.
The next Marvel film, Captain America: Civil War, will arrive on May 6, 2016.
