After witnessing Hotel Translyvania 2‘s highly successful Box office Debut, It seems a third “Hotel Transylvania” film will indeed happen. The film which broke a September opening weekend record, will go onto a third film but with one major change, director Genndy Tartakovsky will not take the helm of the next film. In an interview with The Wrap Tartakovsky told them “Hotel Transylvania 3 is going to happen without me. Two is enough. I have a lot of other ideas, and I kind of have to express them and have them come out”

Hotel Translyvania 2 features a plot that see’s Dracula and his gang of monster friends try to bring out the monster in his half human, half vampire grandson Dennis in order to keep Dracula’s daughter Mavis from leaving the hotel. The film features an ensemble voice cast that includes Adam Sandler, Andy Samberg, Selena Gomez, Kevin James, Fran Drescher, Steve Buscemi, Molly Shannon, David Spade, and Keegan-Michael Key. Hotel Translvania 2 is still in theaters now.

As for Hotel Translyvania 3 it currently has no release date set.
