Bryan Cranston, notable for being “The One Who Knocks” on Breaking Bad, is making his way back into the movies, and has signed on with James Franco to star in Why Him? The comedy poses Cranston as a father visiting her daughter at college, while Franco plays the daughter’s whizz kid, billionaire boyfriend.

John Hamburg is set to direct, and co-wrote the script with Ian Helfer. Hamburg previously wrote Meet The Parents, Zoolander, and I Love You, Man, just to name a few, while Helfer wrote the 2012 film The Oranges.

Franco and Cranston have collaborated in the past on In Dubious Battle, an adaption of the John Steinbeck novel. Cranston will be seen next in Trumbo which will hit theaters November 6, and then in Kung Fu Panda 3 on January 29th, 2016. Why Him is expected to be released in 2016.
