Marvel Studios has dropped a brand new trailer and poster for the next entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, ‘Captain Marvel‘.

This latest solo outing will introduce audiences to Carol Danvers a former U.S. Pilot who is whisked away and becomes one of the most powerful beings in the whole universe. Taking place in 1995, Danvers crash lands back on Earth and has new questions about her past when the galaxy is caught up in an ancient war.

Starring Brie Larson this film will feature the first female superhero to spearhead an MCU film, after Wonder Woman claimed the feat in 2017 of being the first major female superhero to get her own solo film. After coming out with a teaser trailer a few months ago, this full length trailer delves deeper into the story, and action while also giving more insight into who these characters and are and providing some comedic relief between Danvers and a very young looking Nick Fury.

The film will be the first of 3 MCU films to hit theaters next year with the next two being ‘Avengers 4‘ and ‘Spider-Man: Far from Home‘. The film is directed by the duo of Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck and also stars Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Lee Pace, Annette Bening, Clark Gregg and Jude Law.
