Miles Morales has arrived.

Sony Animated Pictures has released the first full length trailer for their animated  flick, Spider-Man:Into the Spider-Verse, and it won’t just be Peter Parker donning the Red and Blue suit, as he trains Miles Morales (voiced by Shamiek Moore) to be the one of the next people to take on the mantle of the web-slinger. With Sony Pictures in a deal with Marvel Studios to share Spider-Man on the big screen, they have decided to open up the universe with spinoffs which will begin with Tom Hardy‘s take on Venom (which will debut later this year) and a recently announced live-action Morbius the Living Vampire film.

The film is directed by Bob Persichetti, Peter Ramsey, and Rodney Rothman and was written by the well known filmmaking duo, Phil Lord and Chris Miller (who are known for their hits such as the Jump Street films and The Lego Movie). The animation itself is also being highlighted in both this trailer and the teaser that was released last year as something different as something new and different, using ‘comic book techniques’ to create the unique style.

Along with Shamiek Moore, the film boasts a star studded voice cast that includes Haliee Steinfeld (who is also starring in Bumblebee later in the year) as Spider-Gwen, Jake Johnson (New Girl, Jurassic World) as Peter Parker, Mahershala Ali (Moonlight) as the Prowler, and Leiv Schreiber (Isle of Dogs, Spotlight) as Wilson Fisk aka The Kingpin.
