During the halftime of the College Football National Championship game, Marvel Studios released a sneak peek at the next installment in the MCU, Black Panther.
The trailer showcases the conflict between T’Challa and Erik Killmonger for the kingdom of Wakanda played by both Chadwick Boseman and Micheal B. Jordan. The footage also showcases some more scenes of the kingdom and the advanced tech they create and utilize.
Due to both ESPN and Marvel being under the Disney umbrella they were able to use the National Championship as a marketing tool, as rapper Kendrick Lamar will be producing the album for the upcoming film. He has already released a single from the film titled ‘All the Stars’ with SZA and performed it at the halftime show.
Along with the preview, the studio has announced that tickets are now on sale for the film and can be found on sites such as AMC, Fandango, Regal and so much more.
Black Panther is directed by Ryan Coogler and will also star Lupita Nyong’o, Daniel Kaluuya, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, and Andy Serkis and will be the eighteenth film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and will be the last one leading up to the ultimate superhero mashup, Avengers: Infinity War.
