D23 has now come and gone and what would a Disney event be without some kind of brand new Star Wars information.
With so many issues going on behind the scenes with the Han Solo spinoff, Lucasfilm decided to focus on the present and not on the past or future with giving fans some more insight with the eight installment in the saga, Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
At D23 (which is Disneys version of Comic-Con) writer and Director Rian Johnson came out with the cast that included Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Gwendoline Christie, Mark Hamill along with newcomers Laura Dern, Benicio Del Toro and Kelly Marie Tran. Instead of debuting a brand new trailer, Lucasfilm decided to give fans a behind the scenes look at what happened during the filmmaking process.
Along with the BTS reel, the company also released a brand new slate of character posters featuring the main cast of the film. Star Wars: The Last Jedi is widely regarded as the most anticipated film event of the year picking up the story threads from the last installment along with finally reintroducing audiences to the Jedi Knight himself Luke Skywalker, after he was absent for most of The Force Awakens.
While we might might not get another look at the film till sometime in the fall this is a nice placeholder till we get the final trailer.
