The final trailer has just come out for “War for the Planet of the Apes,“ the final film in the rebooted trilogy. In the trailer, Caesar (Andy Serkis) and party are searching through an abandoned mansion where they find a mysterious girl (newcomer Amiah Miller) and take her with her. It is when they meet an old, isolate ape (Steve Zahn) that he asks what Caesar is planning to do with the girl.
The old ape tells of a human army that killed all his friends and family, led by a ruthless Colonel (Woody Harrelson). Caesar is after said Colonel, leading a massive battle between both humans and apes. There are also shots of Preacher (Gabriel Chavarria), a human sympathetic towards the apes, and of Caesar’s family, wife Cornelia (Judy Greer) and son Blue Eyes (Max Lloyd-Jones).
Matt Reeves is returning to direct, with scripting being done by Reeves and Mark Bomback. 20th Century Fox is distributing the movie. “War for the Planet of the Apes” comes out on July 14.
