More and more actors are joining the fight against the king of all monsters. Deadline reports that actress Aisha Hinds has joined the cast of “Godzilla: King of the Monsters.“ While her character is not known, Hinds will be joining Millie Bobby Brown, Kyle Chandler, and Vera Farmiga as a family caught in the middle of the plot.
Hinds has been acting since the 2000s, with early roles in “Blues Clues” and “The Shield.“ She also had television roles in “Bones,” “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” “Prison Break,“ “True Blood,“ “Weeds,“ and “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.” She also had film roles in “Madea Goes to Jail,” “Mr. Brooks,” “The Next Three Days,” “The Next Three Days,“ and “If I Stay.“ Most recently, she played civil rights figure Fannie Lou Hamer in the film “All the Way” and as antislavery and Underground Railroad leader Harriet Tubman in the TV series “Underground.“ Hinds will next be in the series “Shots Fired” as Pastor Janae James.
The film also cast O’Shea Jackson Jr. as another unknown character with Ken Watanabe returning as Dr. Ishiro Serizawa. Michael Dougherty, Zach Shields, and Max Borenstein wrote the script with Dougherty directing the film. May 22, 2018 is the release for “Godzilla: King of the Monsters.”
