A restricted trailer has come out for “The Hitman’s Bodyguard,“ a new comedy-action film. Starring Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson, the trailer shown parodies the 1992 film “The Bodyguard” with the Whitney Houston music and poster. However, there is much more action and cursing.
The film centers on an elite bodyguard (Reynolds) hired to protect a hitman (Jackson) when he is about to testify the International Court of Justice. However, an entire hit squad after them and the hitman’s own abrasive attitude may prevent the bodyguard from protecting him. Now, both men must put aside their difference aside in order to make it and testify against a dictator (Gary Oldman).
Salma Hayek and Elodie Yung are also cast in the film. Patrick Hughes directs the project with a script by Tom O’Connor. August 8, 2017 is the release date for “The Hitman’s Bodyguard.”
