This summer, the “Planet of the Apes” trilogy is set to come to a close with the final chapter being “War for the Planet of the Apes.” And with that, a new trailer has come out, showing extensive footage from the intense war sequences that will be taking place.
This film takes place following the events of “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes,” as the apes struggle to find peace in the world they have taken control over. This seems to lead to war with a group of humans, led by Woody Harrelson‘s Colonel, who looks like he will steal every scene his menacing character is in.
As is expected with this series, the visual effects look spectacular, as does Andy Serkis playing the lead ape Caesar. The stakes of the battles also seem to be higher, as the few battle scenes we get peaks at show some of the apes working with the humans. Fans of the series will definitely have another movie to look forward to, hoping that this film can end this series off strong. “War for the Planet of the Apes” comes out this summer, on July 14, 2017.
