(WARNING: MATURE CONTENT) A new red-band trailer has come for “Atomic Blonde,” the next film from “John Wick” director David Leitch. Based on Oni Press comic The Coldest City by Antony Johnston, this Cold War action spy thriller is written by Kurt Johnstad. It will be released by Universal Pictures and Focus Features.
The film centers on MI6 agent Lorraine Broughton (Charlize Theron), who is sent to Berlin near the end of the Cold War in 1989. It is there that Lorraine must solve the murder of a fellow agent, who she had previously been involved with. With Berlin station chief David Percival (James McAvoy) and a French operative (Sofia Boutella), Lorraine must take down the ruthless espionage ring responsible for killing agents.
Also in the film are Toby Jones as Lorraine’s handler Gray, Eddie Marsan as Spyglass, and John Goodman. “Atomic Blonde” comes out for a release on July 28, 2017.
