Paramount Pictures have announced a sequel to their 2015 box office success, “Daddy’s Home.“ Actors Mel Gibson and John Lithgow will be cast opposite previous leads, Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg. Both actors will be playing the fathers to both characters, with Gibson playing Dusty’s (Wahlberg) grizzled blue collar tough guy who comes into conflict with Lithgow’s snotty upperclass father to Brad (Ferrell).
Gibson is perhaps recently known for directing “Hacksaw Ridge,“ which has attracted quite the Oscar buzz. John Lithgow has been known for acting in movies and also stars as Winston Churchhill in the Netflix original series, “The Crown.“ The film will be produced by Gary Sanchez, and set to hit theaters November 10, 2017.
