Another TV series is being remade, as a new trailer has come out for “CHIPs. The film will see Dax Shepard and Michael Peña as California Highway Patrol motorcycle officers Jon Baker and Frank ‘Ponch’ Poncherello. The original 1977 show stared Larry Wilcox and Erik Estrada as the free-spirited police officers.

In the film, FBI agent Ponch is sent undercover in the California Highway Patrol when numerous motorcycle-based robberies connect to police corruption. Ponch is partnered with rookie officer Baker, who is trying to save his marriage with his wife (played by Shepard’s real wife Kristen Bell). While both cops attempt to find corruption in the department, Ponch must also deal with Baker unusual lifestyle and behavior and get into extreme motorcycle hijinx.

The comedy is also written and directed by Shepard himself, who has previously directed other films like “Brother Justice” and “Hit and Run. Vincent D’OnofrioAdam BrodyJessica McNameeRosa SalazarJane Kaczmarek, and Maya Rudolph also star in the film. “CHIPs” arrives in theaters on March 24, 2017.
