In 2014, Peter Dinklage was cast as scientist and Sentinel inventor Dr. Bolivar Trask in Fox‘s “X-Men: Days of Future Past.“ Now, he may become part of another comic book franchise, as Variety has been told that Dinklage is in talks to join Marvel‘s “Avengers: Infinity War.“ There is no word yet on what role Dinklage may play in the film.
Dinklage is already in numerous projects such as Martin McDonough‘s black comedy Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, the science fiction drama “Rememory,“ and the comedy drama “Three Christs.” He is also set to star in the apocalyptic drama “I Think We’re Alone Now” to a film adaption of Joe R. Lansdale‘s novel “The Thicket.“
Joe and Anthony Russo will be directing the film, Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely writing the script. Josh Brolin is playing the main villain, Thanos, and will introduce Brie Larson as Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel. It will see the return of franchise actors like Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Chris Evans (Captain America), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Mark Ruffalo (the Hulk), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), and Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury). Also in the film is Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch), Paul Bettany (Vision), Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther), Tom Holland (Spider-Man), Paul Rudd (Ant-Man) Benedict Cumberbatch (Dr. Strange), Chris Pratt (Star-Lord), Zoe Saldana (Gamora), Dave Bautista (Drax), Bradley Cooper (Rocket), and Vin Diesel (Groot). “Avengers: Infinity War” will come out May 8, 2018.
