Entertainment Weekly has once again gotten an exclusive photo from an upcoming film. This time, it is from the upcoming Stephen King adaption of his famous horror book, “It.“ In the photo, it takes place in the sewer system of Derry, MA where Pennywise (Bill Skarsgård) makes his home. Like previous photos, the shapeshifting evil is shown in his favorite form, that of a clown.
Director Andrés Muschietti told EW: “Pennywise shows up, he’s front and center, and he does his show. He has an act. So it’s weird all the time, and every little thing implies a further threat.”
The script comes from Gary Dauberman and Chase Palmer, with New Line Cinema distributing the film. Jaeden Lieberher, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Sophia Lillis, Finn Wolfhard, Jack Dylan Grazer, Chosen Jacobs, and Wyatt Oleff all portray members of the Losers’ Club that Fight Pennywise. Javier Botet is cast as the Leper, another form of Pennywise. “It” comes to theaters on September 8, 2017.
