People have grown up playing Sonic the Hedgehog” as one of their favorite past times. Some have lost countless times on the Genesis. Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Dr. Robotnik have starred in countless games over the last 25 years, and now they are finally going to be in their own CG-animated/live-action family film, currently in the works, with “Deadpool” director Tim Miller involved in the project.

Tim Miller is set to produce the film adaption with a studio he co-founded, Blur, which does movie animation and opening credits, involved. The untitled movie is to be directed by Blur collaborator Jeff Fowler, written by Patrick Casey and Josh Miller. It will supposedly involve Sonic and the rest of his fellow characters entering the real world and stopping Dr. Robotnik from getting the Chaos Emeralds. “Sonic the Hedgehog” is slated to release sometime in October 19, 2018.
