Despite his commitments to “Avengers: Infinity War,“ Robert Downey Jr. is still making time to work on the next film of the “Sherlock Holmes” series. Variety reports that Downey’s Jr.’s production company, Team Downey, and Warner Bros. are setting up a writer’s room for “Sherlock Holmes 3.“ They have hired writers Nicole Perlman, Justin Malen, Gary Whitta, Geneva Dworet-Robertson, and Kieran Fitzgerald have been hired to write a draft for the third film.
While the plot is still being figured out, what is known is that Downey Jr. and Jude Law will return as Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John Watson. Guy Richie is also expected to return to direct the third film. Currently, “Sherlock Holmes 3” does not have a release date.
