Forest Whitaker is set to join in Marvel’s upcoming film Black Panther. It was announced to the world, in an exclusive from Variety, that Whitaker will play the role of advisor Zuri. Whitaker isn’t the only new cast member to sign onto the project: he be joined on screen by Daniel Kaluuya, who will be playing W’Kabi, and Florence Kasumba as character Ayo.

Chadwick Boseman will star as T’Challa, with Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, and Danai Gurira. Ryan Coogler will direct the film. The script will be co-written by Coogler and Joe Robert Cole, and the film will be produced by Kevin Feige. Whitaker was most recently seen in the film Southpaw, and is repped by WME and Brillstein Entertainment. “Black Panther” is set to release on February 16, 2018.
