Writer and director Jim Jarmusch has made another acclaimed drama with “Paterson,“ as a new trailer for the film has been released online. The film takes place in the titular town of Paterson, NJ and stars Adam Driver as a man also named Paterson. While working as a bus driver, Paterson moonlights as a poet, only revealing his work to his loving, imaginative wife Laura (Golshifteh Farahani). As he continues his daily routine of bus work, Paterson ponders the mysteries of life, the history of his city, and the irony of his name through his writing.
Besides Driver, the only major actors in the project are Jared Gilman and Kara Hayward of “Moonrise Kingdom” as two students discussing anarchy. The film appeared to critical acclaim at the Cannes Film Festival with a Palme d’Or nomination for Jarmusch. “Paterson” will come to theaters on December 28, 2016.
