“The Big Lebowski” is an iconic film masterpiece made by directors Joel and Ethan Coen. In the film, one of the most memorable characters was rival bowler/registered sex offender Jesus Quintana. Now, John Turturro, the man who portrayed him, is weeks into production of a spinoff of the film centering on The Jesus called “Going Places.“
Originally titled “100 Minutes with Jesus,” the film centers on Jesus and a fellow thief named Petey (Bobby Cannavale) competing to give a woman (Audrey Tautou) her first orgasm. While this is happening, a fellow criminal (Susan Sarandon) is recently released from prison and is competing with the other three.
The film is currently filming in New York, and does not have any collaboration with the Coen Brothers or creative right with “The Big Lebowski.” The plot is also based off the 1974 French film “Les Valseuses.“ Currently, “Going Places” does not have a release date.
