After over four years, we are getting the first footage from what seems to be the last film in the “Resident Evil” series, “Resident Evil: The Final Chapter. And from what we have seen, the series will end in a bang that will be sure to satisfy fans of the film series that is based off of the video game series.

The stakes seem high as the film series protagonist Alice (Milla Jovovich) must finally take down the Umbrella Corp. against an army of undead hordes. The trailer is fast-paced, and seeming to take some notes from “Mad Max: Fury Road” with fast chases, desolate wastelands, and Gun N’ Roses blasting in the background.

In addition to Jovovich, series regulars Iain Glen, Ali Larter, Shawn Roberts, and writer/director Paul W.S. Anderson are all returning for this installment with the addition of Ruby Rose. “Resident Evil: The Final Chapter” is currently in post-productions and is expected to be release on January 27, 2017.
