In May, directors Joe and Anthony Russo told Uproxx that the coming “Avengers: Infinity War Part I” and “II” would each be retitled. Now, The Wrap has been told by a Disney representative that Part I will now just be titled “Avengers: Infinity War.“ The second part will also be retitled, but it is currently going by the name “Untitled Avengers” within Disney and Marvel Studios.
It is known that Thanos (Josh Brolin) will be the main villain for “Infinity War,” but it is unknown if the character will be involved in the “Untitled” film. The Russo Brothers have recently released “Captain America: Civil War” to the masses, getting critical acclaim for the film. Currently, “Avengers: Infinity War” is still set to come on May 4, 2018, while the “Untitled Avengers” will come on May 3, 2019.
