New artwork and characters have been revealed for “Spider-Man: Homecoming” at the 2016 San Diego Comic-Con. In the artwork above, it shows Spider-Man (Tom Holland) battling the fully suited Vulture (Michael Keaton). It was also revealed that the character Logan Marshall-Green will play is Phineas Mason, aka the Tinkerer, a villain who makes tools for other villains for a price. It is also rumored that B-level Spider-Man villain the Shocker will be appearing in the film, while actor Michael Mondo is rumored to play serial killer Cletus Kassidy (who would later go on to become psychotic villain Carnage).
It has been revealed that Tony Revolori will not be playing a character named Manuel, but instead will play Peter Parker’s bully Flash Thomson while Laura Harrier will be portraying Peter’s crush and Flash’s girlfriend Liz Allen. Zendaya is playing a new character named Michelle, a new love interest for Peter. Newcomer Jacob Balton will be playing Ned, a character who is compared with other Spider-Man Miles Morales’ best friend Ganke, who knew his secret identity. Martin Starr will be playing a teacher, with Kenneth Choi playing the principle.
Marissa Tomei will also return as Aunt May in the film, with Donald Glover, Bokeem Woodbine, and Abraham Attah also appearing. The movie is directed by Jon Watts. “Spider-Man: Homecoming” is swinging in on July 7, 2017.
