Jeff Bridges has been part of two comic book movie franchises: first as Obadiah Stane, aka Iron Monger in “Iron Man,” then as Roy Pulsipher in “RIPD.“ Now, Bridges has announced via Twitter that he will be joining the cast of the comic book movie sequel, “Kingsman: The Golden Circle.“ Although the character that the actor will play is not know, the picture posted does say this: “The only Golden Circle I want vexing me is the one my glass leaves behind on the table.”
The plot to sequel to “Kingsman: The Secret Service” is not as know. What is know is that Gary “Eggsy” Unwin (Taron Egerton) and Merlin (Mark Strong) will be facing a new villain, named Poppy (Julianne Moore). Because of this new threat, the Kingsmen will need the help of the Statemen, the American equivalent of the Kingsmen. Channing Tatum will be playing a Southern Stateman agent, while Pedro Pascal will play Stateman Jack Daniels and Halle Berry will play Statemen head Ginger. It is assumed that Bridges will be playing a Statesman. Elton John also has a role in the film, with Colin Firth supposedly returning as revived Kingsman Harry Hart.
The movie is directed by previous director Matthew Vaughn and written by Vaughn and Jane Goldman. The film is also produced by previous producers Vaughn, David Reid, and Adam Bohling. “Kingsman: The Golden Circle” will come on June 16, 2017.
