“Star Wars Episode VIII” is already in its production stage, with many of the past stars returning and newcomers such as Benicio del Toro, Laura Dern, and Kelly Marie Tran partaking in the Rian Johnson-directed flick. Now, it appears that another big name is become part of the immense cast. For those who do not want any spoilers, do not read any further.
Making Star Wars has reported that actor Tom Hardy will be making an appearance in “Episode VII.” The rumor states that Hardy will be playing a stormtrooper who, when seeing an unmasked Finn (John Boyaga) at an enemy base, recognizes him as former stormtrooper FN-2187 and alerts the First Order. This may be from a scene that sees Finn on an infiltration mission for the Resistance. By the description, the role appears to be akin to Daniel Craig‘s cameo as a stormtrooper, where his character was completely masked.
The film will also see the return of Daisy Ridley, Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver, Lupita Nyong’o, Andy Serkis, Gwendoline Christie, Mark Hamill, and Carrie Fisher. “Star Wars Episode VIII” will release December 15, 2017.
