Oscar nominee Naomi Watts is in talks to join fellow Oscar nominee Woody Harrelson and recent Oscar winner Brie Larson in the upcoming dramedy “The Glass Castle.” The British-Australian actress is in negotiations to play the eccentric mother of Brie Larson’s character  while Harrelson will play her alcoholic father.

The official story will focus on a successful young woman who was raised by her dysfunctional parents. Her world gets turned upside down when they actually move to New York where she herself is currently living.

The movie reunites Larson with Destin Daniel Cretton, the director of one of her early films “Short Term 12.” Marti Noxon, Cretton and Andrew Lanham are all writing the script. Gil Netter is set to produce.

The movie has no release date but will begin production in June.
