Now that CG animation are in most animated features, the genre is now looking to have it’s first r-rated film. “Sausage Party,“ an animated comedy feature from Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg happens to be that movie. Does our food feel pain when its being eaten? The answer is yes, apparently, as a red band trailer shows the misfortunes that food goes through as its being prepared for consumption.
The film centers on Frank (Rogen) a sausage who, along with the rest of his sausage package and his hotdog bun friend Brenda (Kristen Wiig), are chosen and taken home. However, they discover the truth and horror about being ‘chosen.’ Now, Frank decides that he must go back to the grocery store and warn others about the truth of their existence.
The film will also see the voice talents of Jonah Hill, Bill Hader, Michael Cera, James Franco, Danny McBride, Craig Robinson, Paul Rudd, Nick Kroll, David Krumholtz, Edward Norton, and Salma Hayek. The R-rated comedy is also written by Kyle Hunter and Ariel Shaffir, while directing goes towards Greg Tiernan and Conrad Vernon. “Sausage Party” will release in theaters on August 12, 2016.
