For comedy fans everywhere a dream film may be on the way. Funny men Adam Sandler and Ben Stiller are set to team up in American independent filmmaker, Noah Baumbach’s next film. Also cast in the film are Dustin Hoffman and Emma Thompson, who are said to play the parents of Sandler and Stiller.
Filming on Baumbach’s “Yin Din Ka Kissa”, which translates to “The Story of the Day” from Hindi, began filming this week without any official announcement. Aside from the announcement of the main cast members, the only other piece of information released about the film is a vague synopsis that says, “The film tells the story of an estranged New York family coming together in preparation of artist & patriarch Harold’s career retrospective.”
“Yin Din Ka Kissa” is closely following the releases of Baumbach’s last two films, “While We’re Young” (2014) and “Mistress in America” (2015). Stiller starred in “While We’re Young” and also played a prominent role in Baumbach’s 2010 film, “Greenberg.”
The release date of “Yin Din Ka Kissa” has not yet been decided and many details about the film have yet to be announced. Stay tuned, as details should pop up as filming continues.
