The nomination for the 25th Annual MTV Movie Awards were announced this Tuesday, March 9th, which will air on April 10th. This year’s ceremony will be hosted by Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart at the Warner Bros. Backlot in Burbank, California. While the show’s traditional categories such as Movie of the Year, and Best Male and Female Performances are returning, there will be two new awards given out. These include Best True Story and Documentary. This has allowed more Oscar winning films such “Amy”, “The Big Short” and “The Revenant” to get nominated. The show’s most notable categories like Best Kiss, Best Villain, and Best Fight are all returning as well. Leading the nominations is “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” with 11 nominations including Movie of the Year, Ensemble Cast, and Female Performance. “Deadpool” also had a good showing receiving 8 nominations.
