Two new acquisitions have been made in regards to the cast of the new “The Mummy” remake. Annabelle Wallis (“Annabelle”, “Snow White and the Hunstman”, “The Brothers Grimbsy”) and Jake Johnson (“Jurrasic World”, “New Girl”, “21 Jump Street”) have joined the film. Johnson will play a member of the military in the pic while Wallis will play an archaeologist.
The two join Tom Cruise and Sofia Boutella in the new remake film on the iconic monster. This is all apart of a new monster universe that will involve re-imagined versions of classic monsters showing up in different pictures.
Alex Kurtzman will direct the film while Chris Morgan and Sean Daniel will produce the picture. Jon Spaihts is penning the script as we speak. The pic will be set in the present day, unlike the previous three installments that starred Brendan Fraser.
The film is set to arrive in theaters on June 9, 2017.
