A new “A Christmas Carol” movie is officially in the works. Charles Dickens timeless Christmas classic is set to be directed by 2x Oscar nominated director Bennett Miller and will be written by Oscar winning screenwriter Tom Stoppard.
According to reports this will be a much more serious version of the story. For those who are not familar “A Christmas Carol” tells the story of Ebenezer Scrooge and his visits with the ghosts of Christmas past, present, and future. It ultimately ends up leaving him a changed, uplifted man.
Annapurna Pictures which has distributed past films such as Spring Breakers, American Hustle, Zero Dark Thirty among others will distribute this new remake.
No other word has been mentioned in regards to the film.
