The very first superhero film I ever saw at 8 years old was “Spider Man” with Tobey Maguire. Since then I have enjoyed watching greats such as “Daredevil”, “Iron Man”, “Blade”, “Blade 2”, “Captain America: Winter Solider”, “The Dark Knight Trilogy”, “Man of Steel”, “Spider Man 2”, “X-Men”, “X2: United”,” X-Men First Class”, “X-Men: Days of Future Past,” The Amazing Spider Man” and of course the 2 “Avengers” films.

Deadpool” is in a league of its own as far as superhero films. The movie goes against most conventional forms of story adaptations and usual film storytelling in general. Deadpool goes to places no superhero films have gone before and it ends up being so hilarious and fantastic to watch. Also folks this the true comic book adaptation of the Merc with the Mouth.

Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) is a mercenary for hire that one day gets diagnosed with cancer. He goes to an underground facility that specializes in a unique type of program that makes mutants out of people and Wade unfortunately undergoes this sadistic ordeal at the beheadest of the evil Ajax (Ed Skrein). He is not only cured of cancer but he becomes our looney chatterbox anti hero Deadpool who sets out to kill Ajax especially after he takes his girlfriend Vanessa (Morena Baccarin).

So the film without a shadow of doubt, is amazing! One of the best superhero films I have ever seen in my life. This is my absolute favorite superhero film now! They really remained honest and true to the comics and the character itself. It was so unique and unlike anything people have seen in terms of superhero films. It broke the fourth wall many times and that is an element in film that is so much fun to experience. That idea of a character within the film speaking to us and making us be in the moment with them, it is so much fun and great to watch. I actually really liked the unconventional story telling within the script. The back and forth between the past and present was really well edited and executed. The action scenes were well choreographed and superbly directed. it was brutal but also really funny at times. The fight scene at the end with Deadpool and Ajax was really dope I enjoyed it greatly, actually all the fight scenes really

Ryan Reynolds delivers a beyond phenomenal performance! I knew from certain video games that Deadpool was a Jokester, however with this film his portrayal was hysterical, witty, nutty and flat out incredible. No matter what he does later in his career he will be remembered for this. I never thought I would say this for a performance in a superhero film but he gave a career best performance.

Ed Skrein was fantastic as Ajax! his portrayal was sadistic and vicious and reeeeally cold hearted. Deadpool is essentially an anti hero and the only true test to an anti hero is a villain who is pure evil. T.J Miller the obvious comic relief was so freaking funny! the lines he delivered were so on point and didn’t seem forced at all. I think this guy is going to have a promising comedic acting career. On the female sides of things, all the ladies in the film were great. Morena Baccarin was really dope but I was disappointed we didn’t get to see her abilities as copycat. Negasonic Teenage Warhead is for one an awesome name, and two a character I want to see more of. Finally of course Gina Carano was cool to watch.

The film also had plenty of pop culture references in here as well as the fact it poked fun at the X-Men franchise and superhero movies in general.

This is the first really great film of 2016 with out question and will be a box office smash for weeks. GO. SEE. DEADPOOL!
