A high profile actress is about to experience friendship, magic, and ponies. Actress Emily Blunt has just been added to the voice cast of Hasbro’s “My Little Pony”: The Movie. She will be voicing a brand new character in the series, but the character’s name has yet to be revealed.

In this upcoming film, the Mane 6—Twilight Sparkle, Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, and Rarity—are off to Equestria to save their homeland, Ponyville. With new friends, new challenges, and the magic of friendship, will the team be able to rescue the town from the dark force?

Born and bred in city of London, Blunt’s acting resume includes the poise and fashion-conscious Emily Charlton (“The Devil Wears Prada”), the sweet Baker’s Wife (“Into the Woods”), the psychology graduate (“The Five Year Engagement”), and much more. This will not be her first voice acting role, as Blunt has already been apart of the cast of “Gnomeo & Juliet” and “The Wind Rises. Film and musical theater actress, Kristin Chenoweth, will also be joining the cast as a new character as well.

As for the project’s crew, Jayson Thiessen will be in charge of directing the animated feature. Meanwhile, Hasbro executives Brian Goldner and Stephen Davis will be the producers. Hasbro’s Allspark Pictures are set for production, and Lionsgate will be handling the marketing and distribution.

“My Little Pony: The Movie” will be galloping into movie theaters on November 3, 2017.
