Amber Heard is said to possibly join Warner Bros DC Universe. Heard is currently in talks to star alongside Jason Momoa in “Aquaman.” If a deal is made, she will first appear in “Justice League,” which is set to introduce many characters to help fully launch DC’s cinematic universe. Warner Bros. has yet to comment on this story.
The character Heard is set to play is Mera, the love interest of Aquaman and will eventually become queen of Atlantis. Mera’s powers include the ability to control and solidify water. Two scripts for the movie are currently being worked on at the moment. The first is written by “The Conjuring 2” writer David Leslie Johnson, while the second is written by Kurt Johnstad who co-wrote “300.”
“Justice League” is currently set to be released on November 17, 2017 and will be directed by “Man of Steel” and “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” director Zack Snyder. Eight months later, “Aquaman” is set to come out on July 27, 2018 and will be directed by James Wan.
