The new trailer of “Hail, Caesar!” is out, and it seems the Coen Brothers have created another show-stopping film. The comedy, set in the Golden Age of Hollywood, may not be necessarily divulged in these two minutes, but it definitely gives a taste of the characters the movie sets up.
Main point: It’s obviously funny watching Ralph Fiennes and his British accent play a director working with Alden Ehrenreich, who plays an actor with an unfortunate southern draw. The little snippet still shows the Coen style of film, and in the last thirty seconds, creates intrigue by flashing tiny clips of the different characters. And even in two minutes, one can tell this is a star studded cast. For one, Josh Brolin and George Clooney, who are no strangers to Coen brothers’ films, along with Tilda Swinton, Channing Tatum, Scarlett Johansson, Jonah Hill, and Frances McDormand give this movie high expectations. Especially since Tatum’s character seems to be a dancing sailor actor…But overall, the movie seems entertaining.
I for one am excited to see how well this takes the box office. I think this group of stars and a name like the Coen Brothers can obviously pull in some big numbers. And I was laughing throughout the entire second trailer. After seeing this trailer and the first one released, I would pay money to see it in theaters, if someone else decides to pay for the popcorn. “Hail, Caesar!” is set to release February 5.
