Earlier this week it was confirmed that Christopher Nolan‘s next film would be called “Dunkirk” and it would tackle the WWII story about the evacuation of over 300,000 Allied troops who were surrounded by the German army in the French city of Dunkirk.

Reports say that Nolan is going to be directing a mostly unknown cast but however the film is looking 3 possible names to join the film. Studios are currently eyeing Oscar nominee Kenneth Branaugh,  current Golden Globe nominee Mark Rylance and Tom Hardy to join the film.

These men are all looking at roles that are at the moment unspecified. “Dunkirk” is expected to be an epic action thriller type film that will entice audiences. The release date for the film has yet to be decided.
