This week has ushered in several big announcements for those anticipating DC Comic’s “Justice League Dark” film.
Among the latest news is the announcement that Colin Farrell is being eyed to fill the role ofJohn Constantine, while Ben Mendelsohn may play the film’s main villain, Anton Arcane.
It has also been revealed that three directors have come in talks to replace the film’s original director Guillermo del Toro.
“Big Bad Wolves” directors Aharon Keshales and Navot Papushado, and the “Evil Dead” remake director Fede Alvarez are the top candidates for the job.
Alvarez has just finished shooting next year’s “A Man in the Dark,” and is set to take on the theatrical adaptation of the video game “Dante’s Inferno.”
Regardless of the director, “Justice League Dark” will center around a team of mystical heroes that battles enemies who prove to be too much for the regular Justice League to handle.
The main characters for the film will reportedly include John Constantine, Zatanna, Swamp Thing, Deadman, Etrigan the Demon and Madame Xanadu.
“Justice League Dark” is rumored to start production in 2016.
