Amy Landecker has just joined the magical cast of Marvel’s Doctor Strange, and will star alongside a long list of talented actors. Benedict Cumberbatch leads as main character Stephan Strange, with Tilda Swinton, Chiwetel Ejifor, Rachel McAdams, Michael Stuhlbarg, and possibly Mads Mikkelsen.
Landecker recently appeared the Emmy-winning Amazon series Transparent. Her character is currently unknown, heightening the mystery as many specifics of Doctor Strange have been kept under wraps. She could either be a familiar face from the comics or a brand new character added to the film.
Directed by Scott Derrickson (Sinister), the story supposedly follows the plot of neurosurgeon Dr. Strange who loses use of his hands after a devastating car accident, forcing him to stop brain surgery. Strange encounters magic and the Ancient One in Nepal, who becomes his teacher in mystery arts.
Doctor Strange is currently in the production stages with filming located in Nepal. It is scheduled to hit theaters in a little over a year on November 4th, 2016.
